If you are concerned about a child’s safety or welfare please contact Hants Direct on Tel: 0300 300 0117. If a child is in immediate danger or at serious risk of harm, you are advised to continue to call the police on 999.
Advise can also be sought from The Children's Safeguarding Board

LADO – Local authorities should have designated a particular officer or team of officers to be involved in the management and oversight of allegations against people that work with children. This role is known as the LADO (Local Authority Designated Officer).
Their role is to give advice and guidance to employers and voluntary organisations; liaise with the police and other agencies, and monitor the progress of cases to ensure that they are dealt with as quickly as possible consistent with a thorough and fair process.
The LADO works within Children’s Services and should be alerted to all cases in which it is alleged that a person who works with children has:

Behaved in a way that has or may have harmed a child.

Possibly committed a criminal offence against or related to a child.

Behaved towards a child or children in a way that indicates s/he is posed to be a risk of harm to children.
