Free School Meals and Pupil Premium

Did you know that you may be eligible to receive a Free School Meal each day if your family receives certain benefits? Please visit the Isle of Wight Council’s website where you can check your eligibility and make an application :

If you have any questions about Free School Meals please contact the School Admission Team at the Local Authority - their contact details can be found in the link above.

Even if your child will be bringing in a packed lunch each day we ask that if you qualify, you still apply.

Why? Because for every child on roll that is entitled to Free School Meals, the school receives extra funding to enhance provision and improve progress and outcomes for all children. This is called the Pupil Premium Grant. This means that your child can still bring a packed lunch if they prefer but by applying through the Free School Meal link above you will help to ensure Hunnyhill Primary School receives this pupil premium grant which can then be used for the benefit of the whole school.
