Is your child due to start school in September 2020?

Your child can start primary school in the September after they have reached the age of 4. Therefore your child can start school in Reception in September 2020 if they were born on or between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2016.

The Isle of Wight Council is the admissions authority for all Community and Voluntary Controlled schools on the island. If you would like to apply for a place at Hunnyhill Primary school in September 2020, you need to apply through the Isle of Wight Council. Applications must be made by the closing date at midnight on 15th January 2020.

Placements will be notified on Thursday 16th April 2020, followed by a confirmation letter confirming that your child has a place at Hunnyhill Primary School. We will write to you and outline our transition process including giving you the times and dates of our stay and play sessions and the parents welcome meeting.
