“Eight children from Northwood Primary School and eight from Hunnyhill were chosen to take part in an ICT project right here at Hunnyhill. First we watched a video about the history of movie making. Then Mr Gallop showed us Xtranormal’s STATE software that lets us make our own movies.
My (Janica & Samuel) movie was about two characters meeting and having a hot chocolate at the cafe. In my (Fidhal & Erin) movie Erin’s character told a joke and I was a mad scientist!
At the end we invited Mrs Evans to watch our movies on the big screen. We had popcorn like in the cinema. We had fun.”

This was the first of our joint projects with Northwood Primary School and the children teamed up to explore computer animation. The children only had a couple of hours to explore the software and come up with an idea to create a movie. Each of the films explores different uses of camera angles, sound effects, action and music.
We would like to thank Mr Barry and all the children from Northwood Primary School for visiting and contributing their technical and creative skills to this project.
