Home Page Our Policies Statutory Policies Non-Statutory Policies Staffing Policies Policies are used by school staff as working documents to help run the school. They set out and reflect the practice for many school activities. Some are required by law, (statutory policies), some are the way the school teaches and regulates its day to day running, (non-statutory policies), and some relate to employment of staff, (staffing policies). Policies can come from the Local Authority, the Department for Education via guideline documents, or be written by school staff. All policies are approved by the Governing Board before use. They are reviewed on a regular basis. Some are done every year to ensure they are up to date in every way, an example of this is the Child Protection Policy as it's very important that all the information is current. Others can be reviewed every two or three years, such as many of the staffing policies which come from the Local Authority. There are also policies which have to be altered when legislation changes such as Data Protection. To access these three categories of policies please click on the menu alongside. Paper versions of our policies are available on request from the school office. There is no charge to view the signed copies, if you want your own copy they can be printed. There is no charge for printing but excess numbers of copies will be queried. Printed copies will be the latest version at the time requested but the website should be checked to see any subsequent updates.
